over nite in Reno, they're usually those italian/american men who
where their button down shirts open showing their nasty hairy chests, with
their gold chain necklesses... and the women they marry are usually floosies who
look like peggy bundy and sound like nanny fran.. c'mon you know the one's? lol

Oooohh, I get it. LOL Yeh, I guess so. But I think of Max as being more of a "John Lennon meets 50s greaser" type, like John when he was in leather jackets and pants with the Silver Beetles/Beatles/Moondogs/20 other name-changes. I used to draw Max like that, and made him a part of a greaser gang, so it's like Grease-meets-Beatles. As for the stone, he just happened to get stuck with it. I wanted to find something that he'd be able to wear, saw a load of big and small glass chandelier crystals, and thought "that could work. find a reason for it later, maybe that his heart was in it and thats his excuse for the big, gaudy rock."
