Artist's Comments

After drooling over other artists' photomanips of their anthro selves (two of them being Provo's [link] and Synchra's [link]), I decided it was time to break down and do two of my characters from FirWilderness. My self-represented character Tig (made up of photos of all the felines she embodies.. caracal, cheetah, tiger, lynx, and a little bit of horse and dog), and Amber (finnish spitz dog) is made up of photos of my real dog for which the character had sprung from. I had to take liberties with some of the things, such as their tails, because photo quality was awful. The background photo is of me playing pool.. and that's my big Beatles Yellow Submarine shirt. Tig's fur on the back of her head is supposed to look like human hair that is in a "layered" style cut (like my own), but I don't think I can ever get it to stop looking like feathers.

Tig's giving a hopeful look as the ball rolls along the table, and Amber is obviously doubtful that it'll go into the pocket. Naturally Tig is stripes, and Amber is solids. :) I have a feeling Harp was the one who took this photo.

EDIT: added noise so it's evenly speckled overall.

Wooo! Tig photo! =D Wow, I'm really impressed! Photomanips are really hard because you have to match up the lighting and still make things fluid and stuff... anyway, you did a great job with this! :w00t:

thanks! :D

yeh, the lamp overhead was an afterthought. There was powerful light on Tig's face but not on Ambers face, so I had to make a reason for that. It was kinda easy to adjust everything.

I've never seen anything done quite like this. ...It's interesting, to say the least. :D

I love the way Tig came out. All of her different parts blend together extremely well. The other character is good, but I don't think the lace at the neck of her dress looks quite right. It stands out a little oddly against the rest of the picture.

Very good job overall!

"You want the word on that brother-and-sister act, Hansel's a fag and Gretel's got the hots for herself, so who cares, right? Load up on the salami."

LOL that tail was a very bad-quality photo of a cheetah tail, that i painted over, and then painted the fluff hair-by-hair, then used the dodge and burn tool (1px) to give it definition overall. In other words, it's practically painted by hand. LOL Oh, and the tail ring is a photo of an egyptian bracelet i found on a site. :)

I'm glad you like it LOL it doesn't really have as much to look at as your photo-manip, but this was the only photo i had available to me, bad quality and all. hehe
