I used to play with stuffed animals when I was a kid. Big surprise, being a furry, right? I was obsessed with two things, Animaniacs and the Beatles. So I put the two of them together! Wakko became more like Paul McCartney (less like Harpo), Yakko became more like George Harrison (less like Groucho), and Dot became less egotistical and more warm-hearted (Stacy had her beat in the "cute" department anyway).

Eventually they all grew into their own characters so much that when it came to drawing them, I never thought of them as the Animaniacs' Warners, they were Paul, George and kindhearted Dot to me. This is what my stuffed animals look like! After awhile of drawing them, I felt I had to change them so I wouldn't get sued or have people think they were Yakko/Wakko/Dot, so their fur color changed to brown and they became more human-faced. As for their names, I used to refer to them as "Paul Mccartney", "George Harrison" and "Dot Warner", so I had to change their names because they weren't those people anymore. They were somewhere in between, in a world of their own. You can see pix of them below.
